Hello and Happy Holidays,

Friday is New Year’s Eve, which is usually celebrated with alcohol.

Be responsible, both when driving and when giving the car keys to others.

The most difficult problem with drinking and driving is that when under the influence of alcohol, the sense of ability and daring rise and we tend to take more risks.

Any amount of alcohol affects the ability to concentrate on driving, coordination, judgment, vision functions, attentiveness to multiple tasks, ability to maintain the route and more.

Please be careful while driving and watch out for other drivers especially on this day!

If you intend to drink, it is recommended that you use public transportation or to be escorted with a friend who does not drink and can drive.

Pay attention!

As in every year, the Israel Police prepares a concerted effort to inspect entertainment venues to find drunken drivers.

If you are caught driving under the influence of alcohol, the car & driver license will be confiscated for 30 days **, you will receive ten points and summons to a court hearing.

The minimum penalty for drunken driving is two-year driving license revocation.

If you refuse an alcohol test by a police officer?

You shall be considered as driving under the influence of alcohol and .the court may exclude you from holding a driver’s license for a period of two years.

**In the event of a company vehicle confiscation, the employee will bear all the expenses involved.

There is no intention of ruining the party’s, but it is important to celebrate when we are careful and safe & and act responsibly

Parents:

  • For young drivers and new drivers who are not yet 24 years of age, the law states 0 milligram of alcohol, compared to 240 milligrams for a mature driver.
  • The rate of involvement of young drivers up to age 24 in serious accidents caused by alcohol is 1.5 times higher than that of drivers aged 25-44 and three times compared to drivers aged 45-64.
  • Remember!! When you give the keys to your child you also give him the responsibility to bring himself and his friends home safely.
  • Make sure there is a driver who does not drink.
  • If there is no driver on duty, drive them to the nearest “Kavey Layla” station or send them in a taxi, so you will be more relaxed that the children will return home safely.
